Retirement Planning

Retirement Assessment Services

Planning for retirement can be a daunting task. It’s an important subject to many people, but they often don’t know where to start. Some of the difficult questions they face are:

  • Where will my income come from?
  • How much income will I have? Will it be enough?
  • Once I retire, how do I manage my money?

It might not be easy to answer these questions, but you don’t have to answer them alone. Our Retirement Assessment services can help you with a hands-on, personalized approach. Our work is custom-tailored to your life and your needs, and our Actuarial Approach provides unique insights into your retirement plans.

Our Approach

It’s more than finding a magic number: we help you determine what you want from your retirement, and then how to make that vision happen. Then you can spend your retirement doing what it should really be about – enjoying it!

Here is what our services include:

•  Overall Financial Assessment (Phase 1)

Together we’ll create a highly customized and personal plan for your specific financial situation. First we’ll help you determine and understand where your retirement income will come from. Then we’ll map out what your expenses might be, and how to manage them in a way that makes you comfortable.

We can also advise you on additional investment opportunities and other options you might have for creating more retirement income. We’ll help you decide what your risk tolerance is, how hands-on you want to be, and how these choices might fit into your overall plan.

•  Summary & Presentation (Phase 2)

Your assessment will help us create a comprehensive schedule that breaks down your income and expenses from retirement age onward. Year by year, you will have a guide for how much income will be available to you and how much you should be spending. We’ll walk you through the schedule step-by-step so that you have a plan you can understand and feel secure in.

•  Ongoing Consultation

We will be happy to discuss your plan and answer any questions you may have, via phone, e-mail or in-person meetings.

Why We’re Different

Actuaries understand the financial risks involved with increasing life expectancies. In our traditional work with insurance companies, we create solutions to mitigate these risks. While following sound financial planning principles, we also apply our actuarial knowledge to your personal situation. This brings another dimension to your retirement plan which is often overlooked by other financial planners.

Our work is built on a strong, communicative relationship with our clients, and this doesn’t end once your plan is in place. We are available to answer any ongoing questions and to ensure your plan continues to meet your needs.
